Black Female Sportbike Champ, Crystal Dickerson

There is a young black female sport bike rider who is blasting up the track. She is kicking asses and taking pinks. Her name is Crystal Dickerson and she is originally from Newark, NJ. She now resides in Crofton, MD.

Crystal was born in the sport of motorcycle drag racing, which both parents Blair and Patricia Dickerson drag raced since 1980. Crystal was only a couple of months old when she went to the track for the first time.

In 1987 when Crystal was only 3 years old, she started riding a Honda 50cc with training wheels. Crystal would ride her parent’s bikes in the yard after every race once she got tall enough for her feet to reach the ground.

In 2001, Crystal was ready to dominate the drag strip but unfortunately she was only 16. She was so ready to drag race that she use to go outside in the front of her house and do burnouts and dry hops on her one way street.

In 2002 her father gave her very own 2002 Kawasaki ZX-900R to drag race, she has been hooked ever since.

In 2006 Crystal started racing a 2003 Suzuki GSX-R1000 which she has gained the title as the fastest female on a sport bike in 2006 at Atco Prostar going a 9.01 ET and in 2007 at Del’s Fry at Englishtown Raceway going an 8.80 ET.

In 2008, Crystal was force to sit out for more than half the season due to the Birth of her second beautiful baby boy!  She watched from the sideline as the season matured until she was able to make a return.  Crystal returned in September with high expectations from team mates as well as fans and wowed the world of motorcycle drag racing with an immediate fastest female title at Maplegrove Raceway in PA, followed by an impressive semi final finish in street E.T and a Quarter Final Finish at In the Mirock Series held at world famous Rockingham Dragway of North Carolina.

Crystal has dreams that she will follow until they come true and that’s to race in the NHRA on a Prostock Motorcycle. She has the help from her father/crew chief Blair Dickerson and Assistant Crew chief Ashon Dickerson to complete this wonderful dream.

Keep your eye out for much success for this young lady who absolutely makes us proud as black bikers.

Black Outlaw Motorcycle Club…Outcast MC Atlanta

Most would consider Outcast MC Atlanta as an intimidating club but I would identify them as a Big Brother Club in the motorcycle community. They are very approachable and want to ride and party just like everyone else. I honestly believe that Outcast MC is in Atlanta because they are necessary and not here for their own personal gain.

The unfortunate thing with the motorcycle set here in Georgia they don’t know and understand that there are rules and regulations to being a motorcycle club. There must be structure in everything that we do. Someone must keep order on the set and yes it will be Outcast MC Atlanta doing just that. Bikers think they can fly colors and ride bikes with no rules or guidelines and this isn’t the case. Just like the real world when rules are broken someone will get punished for breaking the rules.

I strongly believe Outcast MC Atlanta’s true intent is to educate the clubs who’ve been misinformed with how your club should be setup and those who don’t know shit about being a black biker/black motorcycle club a complete guide from the beginning. Someone has to take control of the situation to bring order. The end result is to have all clubs co-exist and be on one accord. Many motorcycle clubs in Atlanta just don’t have the proper leadership or guidance to help get them to get closer to unifying black motorcycle clubs.

One thing I found is that clubs don’t adhere to the rules they have for themselves so of cause they will have problems with Big Brother assisting them along the way. Outcast has a strong belief that if they educate the masses they can all achieve a common goal as one big biker family and enjoy the feeling that bikers get from riding; true freedom.

One paramount thing is that some clubs have leadership issues because people are put in the positions because of who they know not whether or not they have leadership qualities. Everyone isn’t a born leader and shouldn’t be put in that leadership role because of who they hangout with either. When clubs begin with the wrong leader, they tend to not last long. Some clubs are formed today but are gone by the end of the year. You have members who instead of working on the issues inside of their clubs branch off to start another club without having the know-how or guidance to do so.

One problem we face as black motorcycle clubs is that no one really knows the rules of the game because truthfully the rules of motorcycle clubs and other artifacts have never been written down and stored. So, with that being said, Outcast MC has been around for more than 40 years and can give guidance to the communities in which they reside.

If you plan to chill on the motorcycle set you need to understand the rules and proper etiquette of our world. Cause we will go the long way on your ass…for sure but in a loving way!(LMAO)

We Need A Biker In The Whitehouse…Freedom to Fly Your Colors Where Ya Want

This video was posted about a month ago on Youtube and this powerful moment was captured so we could share this with other bikers to understand and know what some businesses in states are trying to accomplish. Businesses in Washington are trying to forbid bikers from wearing their colors when patronizing their establishments. So, a collaboration of motorcycle clubs got together, about 200 or more rode to show support to overthrow this extreme violation of civil rights to wear club colors where and when they want.

My reason for posting this is to inform African American bikers and black motorcycle clubs we aren’t exempt from this happening in our states. Black Bikers and Black Motorcycle Clubs tend to blow off reading about biker rights as if they are exempt from this happening to them. Well news flash it does. Collectively the media and the government see all bikers the same. They don’t care if you are red, yellow, black, brown or green. If you ride motorcycles and were vests with anything on the back, you belong to a motorcycle gang.

It is very important that you know it could be your state next. I do recall in Atlanta at Atlantic Station, ESPN Zone requested when bikers came in with their colors and head scarfs to take them off. Picture that, did they ask someone with a baseball cap to take of their hat. Some of us in Atlanta don’t patronize Atlantic Station because they forbid bikers from coming down there. We aren’t welcome so we don’t support their businesses. Stay connected and aware of your rights as a biker. If that means communicating with your local motorcycle organizations, requesting information or utilizing blogs such as this one to take back information to your motorcycle clubs.

My intent is to keep black bikers and black motorcycle clubs aware of any issue that may affect us positively or negatively because,
