The machine that Loris Capirossi and Alvaro Bautista will be riding in this season’s MotoGP World Championship is the fourth generation of the 800cc GSV-R four-stroke prototype Grand Prix bike. It has been developed for the 2010 season with a focus of improved acceleration as well as increased durability to coincide with the new engine restrictions that will be implemented into this year’s championship.

  

The improvements were made to the aerodynamics, chassis performance and electronic systems makes this the most technically advanced racing motorcycle that the Suzuki factory has ever produced.

Bikers Harley-Davidson has extended the Competitive Bike Exchange

COMPETITIVE BIKE EXCHANGE EXTENDED THROUGH MARCH 31

Harley-Davidson’s Competitive Bike Exchange program has been extended through March 31, 2010. The offer has been increased to $1,000 over the negotiated trade-in value of eligible competitive brand motorcycles towards the purchase of qualified new, untitled 2008 and 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycles and remains at $500 for 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Customers who purchased a 2008 or 2009 motorcycle that qualified for the Competitive Bike Exchange prior to February 8, 2010 will receive a $500 Harley-Davidson gift card in the mail as a thank you for their purchase. First Black Female Rider to win the NHRA POWERade Series

Hey black female riders do you know Peggy Llewellyn? In honor of Black history month and fierce black female bikers everywhere; let’s add her to our hall of fame ladies. Let me introduce her to you. She is the first woman of color to win a Professional Motorsports Event. Llewellyn ran an elapsed time of 7.020 seconds at 190.00 mph to beat Andrew Hines in the finals, while knocking Craig Treble out of the number four position to make it into the inaugural countdown competition in 2007. She was the only female to make it into the countdown, finishing fourth for the season.



Peggy serves as the celebrity spokesperson for Divas For A Cure.This organization supports Black and Latina women, who ride motorcycles across country to increase awareness and raise funds to support a cure for breast cancer throughout the year and participate in their signature fundraiser, Divas For A Cure Breast Cancer Motorcycle Run.
