I spoke with Europe’s foremost artisan, Benny Ohrman today. The Leather King has worked in the leather business for more than 30 years. He also builds motorcycles.

Combining both sets of his skills, and one large alligator, Ohrman recently spent a year of his life fabricating one of the weirdest motorcycles you will ever see anywhere in the world. He used an alligator that was 10 feet long and soaked its hide in his swimming pool for three weeks before he could start working with it to build the custom motorcycle.

Benny’s Custom Alligator Bike took second place at the International Rat’s Hole Show at Daytona Bike Week 2008. He told me to make sure when I come to Daytona this year make sure I visit his shop.

Oh by the way he asked that I would send him pics of my bike and he would customize it and yes all you haters in Atlanta get ready I’m going the long way!

I will mention to disregard the confederate flag to my black bikers. I explained to him that I was a black female biker and with his talent color doesn’t matter. Actually Benny is Swedish.
