HARLEY-DAVIDSON DONATES MOTORCYCLES FOR HAITI RELIEF EFFORTS

$500 Over Trade-In Value Offer Valid at all Participating H-D Dealers

Milwaukee (February 2, 2010) – Harley-Davidson today announced it will donate 28 new Buell and Harley-Davidson motorcycles to assist with earthquake disaster relief and stabilization efforts in Haiti. The motorcycles are being shipped from Motor Company facilities to the Dominican Republic, where Harley-Davidson dealership organization MagnaMotors will facilitate direct delivery to the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti.

“Our thoughts are with all of those affected by this devastating disaster in Haiti,” said Rod Copes, Sr. Vice President of International Sales, Marketing and Business Development for Harley-Davidson. “As the relief and stabilization efforts continue, motorcycles can often offer a higher degree of maneuverability and access than other types of vehicles.”

The motorcycles will remain in Haiti as a permanent donation to the government.

Harley-Davidson Motor Company produces heavyweight custom, cruiser and touring motorcycles and offers a complete line of Harley-Davidson motorcycle parts, accessories, riding gear and apparel, and general merchandise. Wyclef no need to explain…The God in you speaks for itself

This article was captured from the Huffington Post:

Wyclef Jean posted a video statement on YouTube today to respond to accusations against his Yele Haiti Foundation, which has been collecting Haiti relief donations following Tuesday’s massive earthquake.

A Washington Post article raised concerns about the Yele Foundation’s “fiscal scrutiny,” first reported by The Smoking Gun.

Apparently Yele Haiti Foundation’s tax returns raised questions about how money has been spent in the past on administration and varihttp://goldie1779.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=1718&message=6ous other expenses.

In his 5:30 response, Jean discusses the history of the organization and stresses that as a native of Haiti he has “always been committed to the people of Haiti.”

He states plainly, “I never would ever take money for my personal pocket when it comes to Yele. I myself have put $1 million inside of my own foundation.”

He added that he was “disgusted” by the recent criticism.
